SUMMER
So, it has been a very very long time since i have written. I apologize for lack of up-datage but i have been reeling and now i finally have some time to settle down. So i met a great great person, someone who is so alive and fills me with so much hope and reason. its been amazing, i feel heightened and exhilarated and new and all that washy stuff. Its indescribable and clear and transcendent. that's all.
So Liz and I managed to scrap together a very decent production of The Last Five Years and we raised a good amount of money for Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS. Rehearsals were rough but I was very happy with the outcome. It was by far one of the most challenging roles that i ever approached. So much depth, not to mention the insanely difficult score but i definitely grew as a performer and i think as a person as well.
Now I am doing summer stock in Maine, playing more specifically Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors. I am having a blast with this role, exploring his growth and the music is just fun to sing. The people here are great, and watch out for my Audry, Mel Beck is going to work so soon you wouldn't believe it, she is truly and inspiration and a talent that makes me stop mid-scene in awe. Im working, i'm happy, im in love, and i have friends. what more can i ask for?
i haven't forgotten either about the new school last summer, not a day goes past that i don't think of all the people and the lessons learned and apply them to my life.
Hope all of you are enjoying this sun, and the water, and the feeling of summer.
:-)
